Natural fabrics are fabrics that are derived from natural sources, such as plants, animals or minerals. These fabrics are made from fibers that occur in nature and are not chemically or synthetically produced in factories.
For examples of natural fabrics are:-
Cotton- Cotton is one of the most widely used natural fabric. It is derived from the fibres of the cotton plant and is known for its softness, breathability and comfort.
Silk- Silk is a luxurious and delicate natural fabric that is produced by silkworms. The fibres are extracted from the cocoons of silkworms and then spun into threads. Silk is known for its smooth texture, lustrous appearance and lightweight feel.
Wool- Wool is obtained from the fleece of sheep or other animals such as goats, Llamas or Alpacas. It is known for its excellent insulation properties, warmth and durability.
Linen- Linen is made from the fibers of the flax plant. It is a lightweight and breathable fabric that is highly absorbent and has a crisp texture.
Hemp- Hemp fabric is derived from the fibers of the cannabis plant. It is a strong and durable fabric that becomes softer with each wash. Hemp is known for its breathability and resistance to mold and UV rays.
Jute- Jute is a vegetable fibre obtained from the jute plant. It is commonly used to make burlap and other coarse fabrics.
Bamboo- Bamboo fabric is produced from the pulp of bamboo plants. It is known for its softness, moisture-wicking properties, and natural antibacterial qualities.
These natural fabrics are favoured by many due to their sustainable and biodegradable nature, as well as their comfortable and breathable characteristics.
At Label Zuka, all garments are made using natural fabrics like cotton, linen, silk and wool, keeping in mind the least we can do to save our environment. Even the trims, threads are cotton based and buttons that we use are all naturally made from wood, sea-shells and coconut shells.
